Academic Health and Agricultural Development Initiative (AHADI) was established by Community Based Organizations in Southern Rift valley in Kenya in 2005. It was registered as a Non-governmental Organization in march 2007 with the aim of pulling resources together so as to assist the rural communities through Education, Health care and Economic empowerment.

Poverty, ignorance and disease have been identified as the main challenges that impede development in Africa. AHADI therefore acknowledges the crucial roles played by grassroots Organizations in impacting the society and hence forges partnerships with Government, Business and Community Based Organizations so as to extend, improve and sustain Health, Education and Economic services for rural communities.
